How to Look Hot in Chilly Winter Weather

Via Spiga Coat
It's winter, and now it's time to show off your long hidden collections of favorite coat!
Winter is always the perfect time to show off your collection of coat. And this winter, try not using only black!
Black is just too common for coat. Try something different. Try white. Or red!

Piercings? Tattoo? Read first before you decided to have one!

Personally, I love piercings and tattoos. If you don’t, this tip probably isn’t for you. Either way, a good thing to remember when it comes to facial piercings is that you must accentuate your best features in JUST the RIGHT places…Be careful before you get a piercing, it IS your face, remember! I have my monroe (upper lip) and my eyebrow done, and on me it looks good to accentuate my best feature (the eyes), but also even out my face (so my eyes are too distracting, they are really dark) with the lip piercing. Too many piercings in one place is just plain distracting, I think two facial piercings are enough, and three is definitely pushing it!

Body shape fashion tips

body-shape-tips-fashion
Every woman wanted to look good, whether it’s for their husband, or even for their boyfriend. Even there’s some girls who wanted to look good without any particular desire. They just wanted to look good just for their own pleasure. Well, whatever the reason is, how does someone looks cannot be far apart from how their body shape. To decide what’s look good on us, first we must understand our body shape. We must understand what kind of body shape that best suited to its own fashion tips.

Artistic Spotlight - Brandie Wedderburn

Brandie is a 16-year-old photographer who has been taking photos since she was eight. She likes taking photos of her friends and uses a variety of cameras including a Nikon D3000, D5100, Olympus Stylus Zoom 140, and sometimes disposables. When asked about the editing process she states, "For film I don't [edit the photos] because it already provides this extraordinary quality. For digital, yes, I have to go through and sometimes adjust the contrast or exposure. If I don't like how it turns out then my last resort is black and white. I mean you can never go wrong with black and white."
When asked about photographers who inspire her, Brandie talks about Mario Testino, Tamara Lichtenstien, Lukasz Wierzbowski, and Olivia Bee. At the moment she's trying to create a stop motion video about "youth" before the year ends. To check out more of Brandie's photos you can visit her flickr by clicking here.

Do It Yourself Deco - Mason Jar Plants

This one is pretty self explanatory. Picked up some old mason jars from my moms, bought some ivy, and planted away. The glass is great as well because you get to watch them grow in all directions. Very pretty for my windows.

Artistic Spotlight - Kitty Gallannaugh

Kitty, a 21 year old portrait and fashion photographer from London, England, began photography early on. As she states, "Part of me has forever been photographing, as a kid I would just casually photograph everything I saw whether it was through the car window, my socks or my family. By 13 I got into digital photography and taught myself how to edit with Photoshop; that was the beginning of my obsession." Kitty always edits her photos. As she states, "Without editing I feel they're too "vulnerable"-- they haven't the artist's final trademark stamp put on them. I try to do as little editing as possible and spend the longest time setting up each shot to ensure I won't have too much to enhance/change. I only ever touch the colours, either muting or brightening certain areas. The contrast is always fiddled with and I occassionally will change the lighting if I feel it isn't completely "right". Otherwise, I don't do anything overly fancy." At the moment you can pick up a free curve for photoshop on her website in order to emulate her look.
To take her shots she uses her Canon 5D Mark II and finds herself inspired by the works of Tim Walker, Annie Leibovitz and Sally Mann. When asked about her current projects she states, " usually keep them very secret but don't see any harm in hinting towards them! I'm working on a couple of new series - something to bring back the sleepy summery feeling and something to capture the wild youth." We look forward to it! Do It Yourself - The Winter Turban!

For materials start knitting three rectangles of whatever colour you like. Then knit the big one together into a tube. Add the bow bit, and then sew the smaller one around the middle.
For a bouncy bow keep it hanging, and for a more turban-like headband sew it down.
Ta-da!

Artistic Spotlight - John Kilar

John Kilar, a 25-year old photographer from Venice, California, is completely self taught. He started taking photos only a year ago, and it shows, but the amateurish nature of his photos has a charm to it. He uses his Yashica T-4 to takes his shots and doesn't like to edit his photos with any major changes, just a bit of adjusting in Apple Preview. As he states, "I like to keep my photos as natural as possible."
This search for naturalness finds its way into the subject matter of his work. As John states, "I prefer nature over people," but he'll take photos of anything and everything that comes his way--"anything I find visually appealing." When asked to describe his work as a whole John says, "My whole body of work is a perpetually evolving project documenting my adventures and travels." You can check out his charming photos by clicking here.

Review- Fujifilm Instax mini film

I recently got an instant back for my Diana F+ Camera and wanted to try out the polaroid-type film that fujifilm makes. It turned out really well! The film is credit card sized so the pictures are a bit small, but perfect with their effects. These ones were taken with the Diana Fisheye lens. All these goodies can be picked up on the lomography website. Click here to check it out.
