Artistic Spotlight - Brandie Wedderburn

Brandie is a 16-year-old photographer who has been taking photos since she was eight. She likes taking photos of her friends and uses a variety of cameras including a Nikon D3000, D5100, Olympus Stylus Zoom 140, and sometimes disposables. When asked about the editing process she states, "For film I don't [edit the photos] because it already provides this extraordinary quality. For digital, yes, I have to go through and sometimes adjust the contrast or exposure. If I don't like how it turns out then my last resort is black and white. I mean you can never go wrong with black and white."
When asked about photographers who inspire her, Brandie talks about Mario Testino, Tamara Lichtenstien, Lukasz Wierzbowski, and Olivia Bee. At the moment she's trying to create a stop motion video about "youth" before the year ends. To check out more of Brandie's photos you can visit her flickr by clicking here.
